Polish Candidacy in the 2025 elections for the INTERPOL Executive Committee.
With the support of Ministry of the Interior and Administration of the Republic of Poland, Colonel Ireneusz SIEŃKO, Director of International Police Cooperation Bureau, National Police Headquarters, and the Head of the INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau in Warsaw, has been nominated as candidate for the position of the Delegate for Europe on the INTERPOL Executive Committee.The elections will be held during 93rd session of the INTERPOL’s General Assembly in Marrakech, Morocco, on 24-27 November 2025.
The INTERPOL Executive Committee is the Organization's governing body, responsible for supervising the work of the General Secretariat, implementing General Assembly decisions, and preparing the General Assembly's agenda. Headed by the President, the Committee consists of three Vice-presidents and nine Delegates, all elected from different countries to ensure balanced geographical representation.
CAREER HISTORY/EXPERIENCE
Colonel Ireneusz SIENKO, Director of International Police Cooperation Bureau of NPHq, Head of NCB Warsaw has a vast police experience, in particular in criminal and international Police cooperation. He was the Commander of Formed Police Unit EULEX Kosovo mission, Training Officer in JIPTC - Jordan and in UNMIK - Special Police Unit in Kosovo and Police Liaison Officer in the Republic of Turkiye. Since January 2024 Mr.SIENKO has been the Director of International Police Cooperation Bureau of the National Police Headquarters. He is responsible for the organization, management and coordination of international police cooperation in Poland. As the Head of National Central Bureau of Warsaw, Mr. SIENKO supports extension of direct access to INTERPOL databases for front-line police officers and enhancement of their information exchange potential. He is an active member of the international police community. In 2024, he served as an Alternate Member of the Europol Management Board on behalf of Poland, and since 1st January 2025, he has been acting as Chair of the Europol Management Board.
